Internet applications are critical for communication and collaboration but can lead to network congestion and security risks. Network observability is key to ensuring a safe and productive environment.

In today’s digital enterprise, internet applications are used to communicate, collaborate, and facilitate business operations across multiple lines of business. Applications help organizations be more responsive, productive, and efficient, but uncontrolled application usage dilutes those values and can even damage the organization.

Applications are everywhere in the business world. The average enterprise uses hundreds of different applications daily. With this growing number of applications running across the network, it’s increasingly difficult for IT organizations to assess the impact of each application on network performance, network costs, or network security.

This situation is made even more difficult by “shadow IT” – employees downloading unapproved applications without IT oversight – that can lead to further network congestion and increased security risks.

    Delivering Performance, Efficiency, and Security

Enterprises need application-level insights to uncover which applications are business-critical, which are routine, and which are unsanctioned, and what each requires in terms of bandwidth, latency, and throughput to deliver a satisfactory and secure QoE to end users.

Knowing when and where the most bandwidth-intensive usage takes place and the possible ripple effect on the greater organization can enable traffic management policies that ensure optimal network performance without the need for additional capacity or capex.

All of this requires deep visibility into the network to gain actionable insights on performance, security, and end-user experiences. Sandvine Enterprise Solutions provide contextual application awareness, allowing organizations to manage network performance for the best QoE possible.

Sandvine Enterprise Solutions for Proactive Network Management

Traditional performance-monitoring tools are ill-suited to today’s cloud-based application environments. Sandvine Enterprise Solutions are designed for dynamic, high-traffic environments, like education, finance, energy, and healthcare, that need to identify and remedy bottlenecks, performance issues, and security threats in real-time.

Sandvine recognizes that enterprises must shift from reactive to proactive and intent-based network management. Sandvine’s Enterprise Solutions use machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics, based on the industry’s leading AI-driven application classification and content categorization solution, to enable enterprise network operators to analyze, optimize, and secure their networks quickly and easily.

With a tightly integrated product suite and automated deployment technology, Sandvine’s Enterprise Packages deliver a host of capabilities, packaged together to enable simple and efficient purchase, deployment, and operation.

    • The Sandvine Enterprise Network Observability and Optimization package enables in-depth network monitoring, detailed network analyses, and fast network troubleshooting.
    • The Sandvine Enterprise Network Security package identifies, monitors, and manages cyber threats, blocking infected traffic throughout the network without impacting network performance.
    • The Sandvine Enterprise Advanced Network Management package combines automated traffic management with dynamic policy execution, enabling real-time traffic control across multiple context and service dimensions.

Sandvine combines its industry-leading application classification technology with real-time data plane, data management, and policy management to analyze, optimize, and secure enterprise networks.
