On January 5, AppLogic Networks announced several ways in which it continues to put business integrity into action and highlighted milestones in the evolution of its human rights due diligence governance, policies and procedures, training and education, and culture.

Below shares more about the announcement and how AppLogic Networks is committed to championing digital human rights globally.

    • AppLogic Networks Operates in Democratically Focused Jurisdictions in Support of Internet Freedom. AppLogic Networks believes that the best way to consistently and reliably prevent, detect, and deter the misuse of its technology is to not conduct business in jurisdictions that lack a consistent, demonstrable commitment to internet freedom and strong rule of law protections, and to take a risk-based approach to conducting business globally. This is a unique approach which demonstrates the Company’s strong commitment to respect human rights.
    • AppLogic Networks Conducts Risk-Based Human Rights Due Diligence Including in Democracies. AppLogic Networks developed a new governance framework,[1] which includes a dedicated and independent Human Rights Senior Advisor reporting to its Board of Directors and engaged a Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer reporting to its Chief Executive Officer to strengthen its human rights due diligence and compliance program.
AppLogic Networks reformed its Business Ethics Committee and implemented a new global Human Rights Due Diligence & Risk Management Policy (HRDD Policy) to prevent, detect, and mitigate the potential misuse of the company’s products by third parties as well as maintain a consistent framework to address allegations of potential third party product misuse.[2] The Company leverages its HRDD Policy to review the potential risk of third party product misuse before a sale is conducted, and the policy includes considerations regarding the ways in which potential human rights product risks can be mitigated in connection with a potential sale. Where appropriate, the company also solicits input from outside advisors when implementing its HRDD Policy. In addition, the company monitors for reports and signs of potential third party product misuse post sale and implements a procedure to consistently and proportionately respond to allegations of potential product misuse. This is done in recognition that human rights risks involving the misuse of products can occur anywhere and demonstrates the Company’s commitment to mitigating those risks.

    • AppLogic Networks will Donate 1% of its Annual Profits to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that Promote Internet Freedom and Protect Human Rights. AppLogic Networks marries profits with purpose, recognizing that investing in organizations that protect Internet freedom and counter third party spyware that infringes upon human rights is an important part of promoting human rights globally.

Starting with the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, AppLogic Networks has committed to donating 1% of its annual profits (or a minimum of $25k), whichever is greater, to one or more NGOs dedicated to protecting internet freedom, human rights defenders, and remediating instances of human rights and digital abuse. In 2025, AppLogic Networks consulted with several NGOs in connection with this effort and will identify one or more appropriate recipient organizations to fulfill this commitment so that its donation is leveraged to promote an open and democratized internet and can serve to remediate instances of digital rights abuse.
    • AppLogic Networks is on a Journey to Transform its Culture. AppLogic Networks refreshed its code of conduct and adopted new core values, which include “Doing the Right Thing” and “Keep Getting Better.” This signals its approach to working collaboratively across functions, regions, and stakeholder groups to do what is right, to promote digital human rights globally, and to continuously improve. In addition, AppLogic Networks enhanced and refreshed its global code of conduct training, which is made available to all employees and executives globally, to include education and awareness concerning the human rights risks associated with the potential misuse of its products and to remind employees of the importance of speaking up and reporting concerns. In 2025, 99% of all AppLogic Networks’ employees took code of conduct training.
AppLogic Networks is Committed to Engaging in Multistakeholder Dialogue. AppLogic Networks believes that respecting human rights, including digital human rights and freedom of expression, are best achieved through multijurisdictional engagement, collaboration, and constructive dialogue among members of civil society, human rights experts, members of academia, corporations, investors, and others. To this end, in 2025, AppLogic Networks became an observer of the Global Network Initiative (GNI), a community focused on promoting human rights, protecting freedom of expression, and sharing lessons learned to the benefit of the GNI and broader community.[3] AppLogic Networks also consults directly with members of civil society, NGOs, and outside advisors to engage in constructive dialogue as well as to better understand how it can support digital human rights and mitigate the risk of human rights harms.

[1] AppLogic Networks’ human rights governance framework is designed to provide oversight of and responsibility for implementing the company’s HRDD policy and procedures can be found in AppLogic Network’s Human Rights Statement here.

[2] The company’s HRDD Policy is informed by the U.N. Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, U. S. Department of State Guidance on Implementing the “UN Guiding Principles” for Transactions Linked to Foreign Government End-Users for Products or Services with Surveillance Capabilities, and input from members of civil society, non-governmental organizations, and outside advisors.
